The following is an update on the busing situation in Lakewood.
1- We are happy to report that the approximately 15 routes that were picked up by vendors right before Sukkos are beginning their runs either today or early next week.
2- In addition, we are working on finalizing at least another 40 routes that we hope will be on the road in the coming week.
3- The overall process of having additional runs picked up and put on the road is ongoing, and we will continue to make every effort to place as many children on buses in the quickest time period as possible.
4- Our first meeting with Versatrans (which is the specialized transportation software) will be on November 1. This will allow us to begin transitioning the mapping system from the BOE to the LSTA and will assist us in future routing and data collection.

The bigger question remains – how many routes are still not picked up?
Please tell me that some of those 15 are for the Raintree neighborhood.
i am paying for van service for my daughters highschool that is more than 3 miles away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just curious if your kids are on busses. I sure hope not. because only then you will understand what us parents without bussing are going thru.

It’s plain and simple unfair that we have no bussing and it’s practically November 1. Just unacceptable and when you try to speak to “people” in charge theres noone home everyone psses the buck it’s not the schools problem or the bus comany or LTSA. Us parents are entitled to answers we live far enough away from the school and are entitled to bussing.
Curious yes his kids have bussing while he lives close to his kids school but kids that live many miles away from his kids school don’t!!!!!
