We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Reb Yankel Finkelstein Z”L, who was Niftar today in Lakewood. He was 98.
Reb Yankel, a renowned Baal Tzedakah, was a Mir Talmid from Shanghai, and for most of his life lived in Brooklyn. During his last few years, he resided in Lakewood with his daughter and son-in-law, Reb Dovid Magid.
His other children are R’ Yeshua Friedman (Bensonhurst), R’ Reuven (Eretz Yisroel), R’ Nachum (Kensington), R’ Shmuel Akiva (Boro Park), R’ Velvy (Kensignton), and R’ Avrohom (Kensignton).
The Niftar is being flown tonight to Eretz Yisroel for the Levaya and Kevurah.
