A quick response by the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch lead to the arrest of a car burglar.

At about 2 AM on Sunday morning, LCSW received a call about a suspicious black male in front of homes in the area of 7th Street and Forest Avenue, and dispatched multiple members to the area.

Upon arrival, the members observed a man with a flashlight and attempting car doors. Police were immediately called.

Police arrived and found the man with gloves and proceeds – reportedly from several burglarized vehicles. The suspect was placed under arrest.
