  1. I realize that every day R Sholom Mordechai is sitting in prison is another day in gehenom but just wondering if it wouldn’t be better if askonim would wait to see who Mr. Trumpp taps for AG which is very likey to be Chris Christie who has a tremendous amount of close friends in the Orthodox community especially in Lakewood and he would be vey receptive to our community without a doubt…on the other hand it could take many many months at best to get to that point.

  2. B – you missed cool masmids point which had nothing to do with being needy off the bat. He’s saying we might be in a stronger asking position after the AG is appointed and if that AG is likely to go along. In that case it’s strategic to wait in terms of positioning the strongest shot for the request working. Nothing to do with asking for something too soon, rather considering waiting for the right players to be in place.

  3. I think everyone should write a letter /email to the president requesting that he pardon Shalom Rubashkin as the time he spent is more than anough for people convicted of similar crimes. Of course be respectful in the wording of your letter to President Obama

  4. I recently spoke to a middle aged yid in Shul whom was recently released from Otiville Federal Prison.
I don’t think that he had ever seen Rubashkin, as this yid had resided in “the camp” similar to a bungalow colony, Rubashkin is staying in the “big house” maximum security.
The yid said that certain inmates are imediatly pardoned by President Obama and leave, others finish their sentences
The prison has a beautiful Bais Medrash with 3 Shiurim a day, Catered Kosher Shabbos meals, the guards are very nice to them etc. , but no freedom.
I was a Yosom , I left Yeshiva in Borough Park and started working at age 19, every night around 9 pm after work I used to stop in to Rubashkin’s Crown Restaurant on 13th Ave. and the manager , a tall Lubavisher man used to pack me up a full shopping bag of chicken, kinishes, salads, galarite, etc. and said give me $3 (was worth at least $25).
I hope that R’ Mordechai is pardoned & freed “B’Karov.

  5. There is a way to reach Trump. Not by petitions. I have an idea but do not want to reveal it in a public forum. It’s simple. Maybe I will talk to the Rubashkin family.

  6. Reb Sholom Rubashkin deserves to be in Freedom as he already served 7 years of his term.
Hashem will grant his freedom as we all know the Rubashkin family is known for great Chesed they do and how they feed the hungry people and the love they have for another Jew.
As we approach the last day of Canukkah Hashem will show us an open miracle and facilitate his release from prison using our president Donald Trump as his messenger.
Hashem the almighty King above all Kings. And we as Jews should do kindness to our fellow brothers so that will bring the Final Redemption.
