  1. Der zechus fin zeiden zul meigen zein. Bardichev vet zein a vinkel fin torah vyiras shumsyim. Yad chasidim al huelyonah. Havtacha fin der heiligeh magic.

  2. Reb Yehoshuah is a true tzaddik! He genuinely loves all jews no matter what. And the Barditchev kloiz mirrors this love. “Velamalshinim al tehiy sikavh” or as shuey would say “yitamu chatuim vloy chotim”, may the light of barditchev shine in to their hearts!

  3. Just to clarify, there were 100 residents in attendance, approx 85 for and 15 against. BH the shul got approved. And I sincerely hope that some of the concerns of the opposition are resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. Go, Shui Hatzaddik !!

  4. I passed by the residents leaving the meeting after work. It was past 10 pm on a cold rainy night. The fact they attended speak volumes.

  5. Awesome to hear that we got so much acceptance at this meeting. Finally the powers that be can’t contain us – this isn’t the same world as it was a few years ago. They realize Lakewood has changed and our Shul is one of the things that come with that change. The neighbors should be happy that Shuie is doing this or else they’d all be depressed souls without any Simchas hachiam. #GoShuie

  6. This is so beautiful! It is such a zechus to be part of such an amazing community! Ever since the Bal Shem Tov initiated chassidus, as a way to serve Hashem with love and happiness, there has been oppositions. The Chassidic movement was created in a era of darkness, when Klal Yisroel felt low and were holding by the brink of despair. The Chassidic route was needed in Klal yisroel to lift our spirits and to feel Hashems love towards us and our love for Hashem! This route is STILL needed in Klal yisroel. There is suffering, there is temptations etc, and it is not always easy to be a Jew and to serve Hashem.
Bardichev was created truly leshaim shamyim as a shul where there is singing, a geshmak in davaning and to feel special that you are a Yid.
There was nobody there last night who actually opposed the shul and the ideology of the “Helige Reb Levi Yitzchok of Berdichev”, which this shul was built upon. The “opposers” were misguided and simply misinformed. The “opposers felt threatened by the unknown. As it always goes one man sees something different spreads the word with his emotionally charged feelings and imagines what else might be included in the above ideology. Hashem is great! Judaism is great! Klal Yisroel is great! Lets keep this going! Thank you Hashem I am a Yid. Thank you Hashem!

  7. HaRav Shuie Basch, is a Tzadik-Period!

He is a Man with a Huge heart and even a bigger soul. Reb Shuie is sensitive to the needs of people who you perhaps may think are out of the box.

I am sorry to break the news to you-Lakewood is now a beautiful diverse Frum community, some people feel more comfortable Davening in one type of Shul than another-and there is a need for that!!.

The opposition to this holy Shul shocked me! And to think that this type of behavior only happend in the Bal Shem Tov’s times??!!!!
I guess i am what they call “NAIVE”

There are people who owe Reb Shuie and his fellow congregants a huge Mechilah, because i am not sure if even Yom Kippur will be enough.

The shame and embarrassment the opposition put this holy kehilla through, and the Chilul Hashem that was showed at the board meeting was sickening-One fellow Jew against another fellow Jew’s Practice of religion?? And to question and breakdown how one should serve God?
This Shul is like another Shul with a added flavor of Chasidus.

I know one thing-Reb Shuie is a forgiving man, however getting Mechila from him is not enough. To the opposition-I hope your conscious makes you lose a little sleep.

My Bracha to the opposition is that your children should never know what you did, because if i were your kid, and knew what you have caused, i would not be able to ever look you in the eyes again.

Lets all make Shalom, and together we should greet Mashiach Mamish!
