Street Crimes arrest in Lakewood nets handguns and drugs

lpd street crimes tlsAfter the culmination of a two month investigation into drug activity at a Lakewood residence, Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were able to obtain a search warrant for a Lakewood home.

Last night, the Lakewood Special Response Team, Lakewood Street Crimes Unit and the Ocean County K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at the home located in the Pine Acres development. As a result, police seized approximately 400 individual doses of Heroin, approximately 15 grams of Cocaine, approximately 10 grams of marijuana, approximately $1,150 in cash and two handguns.

Kevin Gadson Jr, age 25, of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Certain Person not to Possess a Firearm, and Possession of a Weapon during a Drug Offense. The Honorable Judge James Blaney set bail on Mr. Gadson at $150,000 no ten percent. Mr. Gadson was subsequently lodged at the Ocean County Jail.

Jameil Padilla, age 22, of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and was released on a summons.

A Juvenile male was also present at the time and he was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute.
