Firefighters are on scene of a home fire in Lakewood this morning.
The fire broke out around 6 AM at a Leisure Village home.
All of Lakewood’s fire stations were summoned to the scene, as well as mutual aid from Brick.
The home’s occupants were not injured, but one firefighter was hospitalized with an ankle injury when the floor reportedly caved in, an official told TLS.
The Red Cross was called in to assist multiple displaced people.
The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
