Tonight: Make Their Dreams a Reality- New Video From Bonei Olam

IMG_1671The neighborhoods of Lakewood are abuzz with the Bonei Olam pre-dinner campaign.

Last week, parlor meetings were hosted in Coventry, Lakeview, and Chestnut area, raising thousands of dollars, each person that opened their hands and their heart to Bonei Olam’s cause helping to create a new generation.

At the Coventry meeting alone, there were over 200 attendees, each person taking part in the zchus of helping struggling couples. With a moving kumzitz by Eli Beer, and a beautiful carving station for all guests to enjoy, including a hot cholent and assorted meats.
At the Lakeview parlor meeting, hosted at the home of Ephraim Steinberg, was preempted by a touching letter from the rabbonim of ocean place and Lakeview, imploring people to take part in this mitzvah. A hot buffet was served to the crowd of over 100 attendees, similar to the Chestnut parlor meeting hosted at the home of Yisroel Meir Berkowitz, where there were also over 100 attendees, with a hot buffet served. There was also a beautiful kumzitz by Strumz Orchestra outside, to enhance the mood. Those in attendance contributed to Bonei Olam, to contribute in turn to the childlessness couples in need of our support.

Who can measure the profound joy a father experiences upon hearing his son’s first cry? Bonei Olam’s mission is to help couples that struggle with the pangs of loneliness and suffering childlessness brings, and aid them in realizing their dreams of enjoying these moments. In order to succeed in our mission, we need your help.

One in six couples suffer from the tribulations that infertility brings. Imagine the sorrow and dejection a couple feels, knowing that they cannot have children, and they cannot afford treatments? The melancholy ringing throughout the silent home, the forlornness and anguish of childlessness.

This is not a mythical couple, this is our neighbors, our friends, even our own family. One-in-six means someone you know needs support from Bonei Olam, whether you are aware of it or not. Reaching deep into our pockets and extending the joy of coming home from work to pink-cheeked, shiny-eyed children, a cocoon of warmth and love, to the people who aren’t as fortuitous as you, who don’t have those joys and instead come home to emptiness.

In the upcoming weeks there will be parlor meetings taking place in locations all over Lakewood, Jackson, and Toms River to honor Bonei Olam’s work, and to help the generations of Bonei Olam children grow by breaking down the prohibitive boundaries financial expenses can build.

Tonight, January 12th, there will be two parlor meetings transpiring. One, in the Presidential area, hosted in the home of Yekusiel Janklowicz, on 1 Grant Avenue at 8:30 PM, with a deluxe buffet for all attendees. The other will take place in the Stolin area, at the home of Chesky Rubin, 128 Vintage Circle, beginning at 9:00 PM. Accompanying the deluxe buffet will be a special video presentation that will move you to appreciation of the pain childless couples face.

Bonei Olam’s very name implicates the reverberations caused from opening our hands and pockets to this worthy organization, building not just generations, but building our own world, of giving, of love, of brotherhood, and of kindness around us.
