  1. If the schools get money how does that translate into something for me? Don’t thinks the schools are going to start with extracurricular activities or give a tuition break…

  2. To all the parents of kids in school . Mazal tov ! I guess all the $$$$$ that we old folks gave all the years is finally coming back for you guys (ill believe it when i see it)
    Use it for good things

  3. the schools are getting more $ to service eligible children, it doesn’t come into the schools pockets at all, and therefore there will be no reduction in tuition etc!!!

  4. @confused – this is part of the grants that the BOE gets to service kids who need extra help. i.e. title 1 etc. this is just a new version of the title 1 grants, since those grants expired. the BOE uses a third party provider to service these kids, i.e. catapult, tender touch etc. not a penny of this money goes to any Non-public school. so this has nothing to do with tuition…

  5. I think it is important for everyone to understand that this funding is available for services only- to be provided directly to students, and then, only through an approved educational/ therapy service provider. there is no “fattening of pockets” anywhere; in fact the school will not receive any funds or benefits! What they will be able to do is provide more services (ie. counseling, tutoring etc.) for students in need.

  6. Listen carefully and you will hear Mr.inzelbuch say more than once that this is “possibly” millions etc. That’s first of all. Secondly, this will not fatten anyone’s pockets!!
