[LETTER BELOW] Hundreds more Lakewood nonpublic school children will be receiving busing, a letter from School Superintendent Laura Winters indicated.
In an email to the Board today, Winters wrote, “After ongoing review, analysis, and input, I believe the Lakewood School District has the capacity to provide Board of Education buses and drivers to the LSTA (at terms to be determined by the Board and State Monitor) so 4:00 p.m. busing for approximately 350 students can commence in all likelihood on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in an effort to further assist Nonpublic School students and their families. The district is in the process of hiring 3 additional drivers, which may increase the number of nonpublic students being transported at 4:00 p.m. to 450.”

Volunteer at 2x pay? lol
Gee! the school year is more than halfway over and finally, some more kids can get bussing.
Look at the right side. They have bussing
I would love to volunteer for double pay.
Only in Lakewood would they refer to double pay as volunteering.
I don’t think our school is on the list. We weren’t notified! So we still have NO bussing!
couple weeks ago you were all throwing Winters under the bus and here she gets you a bus. Funny
Which school?? Also didn’t hear anything from mine..
These drivers are getting a huge salary including full benefits that will cost tax payers a lot!
What about to school?????
what abt schools ending at 3:30…?!
Thank you! This is really amazing. The carpooling was getting to be very difficult. My car has mechanical issues and a new one is not in the picture right now. So this is great. Just got 2 more routes for my kids.
What school???
oh how i wish I was one of the lucky 450!
