by T.H. This afternoon, fifty by-invitation-only guests gathered at the White House as Vice President Mike Pence swore in David Friedman, a frum Jew, as the new U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
Among this exclusive group of attendees was Duvi Honig, Founder and CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce. Duvi is a close friend of the new Ambassador, who lobbied aggressively to Senators and the general public on behalf of his confirmation.
While in the White House, Duvi wasted no time in his efforts to influence U.S. public policy on behalf of our community’s economic interests, both domestically and as it relates toboosting U.S.-Israel economic ties and the battle against the BDS movement. Duvi held a meeting with Vice President Pence’s staffers in his office, and conversed with the Vice President himself during the swearing in ceremony.
“The Vice President and White House staffers expressed great interest in our efforts,” Duvi relates. “We look forward to meeting again in the near future and working together to boost economic opportunity for our community and the entire nation.”
