Entrance ramp at Parkway Interchange 105 to be closed overnight Thursday into Friday

The southbound entrance ramp at Garden State Parkway Interchange 105 in Tinton Falls will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, March 16, to 6 a.m. Friday, March 17, for the installation of a new ramp lighting system.

The installation was scheduled to be completed during five overnight ramp closures last week, but inclement weather forced the work to be canceled one night. The additional closure this week will allow the contractor to complete the work.

Access to the northbound Parkway from southbound Route 36 will not be affected by the closure.

Passenger cars and buses will be able to access the southbound Parkway during the closure by following a marked detour from Route 36 at northbound Hope Road to westbound on Pine Brook Road, to southbound Wayside Road. The detour route will conclude at the entrance to Route 18, where drivers will be able to use Exit 15A to enter the southbound Parkway.

Trucks, other than those making local deliveries in Tinton Falls, are not allowed on the Parkway north of Interchange 105. To access the southbound Parkway during the closures, they will be detoured onto southbound Route 18 to westbound Route 138. The trucks will be able to access the southbound Parkway through exit 35A on Interstate 195.
