Until the satellite locations open ahead of Pesach, you may drop off your trash at the Department of Public Works (1 America Way – off Cedarbridge and New Hampshire Avenues).
The site is open during the following times:
Monday-Friday: 7am-3pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9am-3pm.
The DPW site accepts household trash, recyclables, cardboard and bulk trash. Tires, without its rims, are permitted as well. No paint, paint thinners or other hazardous waste materials are allowed. Paint materials can be brought to the Ocean County Recycling Building on New Hampshire Avenue.
Specifics: Paint – Full and partially full paint cans are accepted at the County’s Recycling Center. There is a 20 can limit through the Ocean County Paint Management Program. Latex, oil based,and boat paints are accepted. Stains, wood preservatives, varnishes or polyurethanes ARE NOT accepted. Household Hazardous Waste – Toxic household products such as herbicides, pesticides, household cleaners, paints and paint thinners, solvent and photographic chemicals are accepted ONLY on Household Hazardous Waste Collection days. Call the Ocean County Solid Waste Management Hotline at 1-800-55-RECYCLE for locations and dates. Dry materials limited to 200 pounds. Liquid materials limited to 20 gallons.
