   • I totally agree! The land can only take so much and if the over development keeps up in Lakewood this flooding will be a minor problem compared to what else can happen when the land is cleared of all the trees/shrubs/green to make room for more houses. Lakewood needs to think smarter about land conservation!

2. there are plenty of streets like this in Manhattan, Miami, Los ANGELES this has nothing to do with building, this is a huge storm, stop the fake news!! There’s so much that can be done with a storm like this.
   Stop using Big Events to promote a negative outlook.
   Be Positive and things will work out soon.

   • In Los Angeles they build some streets to be the storm drain so the rest of the area dos not flood.

3. Dear “fake news” when the land is full of trees and soil the rain water goes downward. When the land is full of concrete it runs sideways and pools up. Not rocket science. New lake on the corner of Rt88 and Clover Av. site of new development. Not everyone who has a point is angry.

4. to be honest i don’t know is point to make any comment about Lakewood so far, is very clear how owns and make decisions even is a bad one.

5. That intersection on Rt. 88 has been a lake for years already, not due to new deveopment or building.

6. exactly, I remember for years on RT 88 heavy lakes.
   This has to do with inlets which is township engineering, and that can be done any time.
   Nothing to do with extra housing.
   Many of these issues can be or can’t be ficed but adding housing for families that need is a seperate issue.

7. The kol shimshon area is mostly wetlands.

8. Rt 88 was never like that!! I’ve lived in Lkwd all my life before moving 6 yrs ago. Lakewood never got flooded like it does today. Fake news? I don’t think so.
