Multiple forced-entry home and business burglaries reported in Lakewood over Pesach

Numerous vehicles, homes and businesses were burglarized in Lakewood over Pesach – and most involved forced entry, police confirm to TLS.

“Between April 10 and today we had 18 burglaries reported,” Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith told TLS.

There were reports of burglaries to seven residences and three businesses. The rest of burglary reports involved vehicles.

“All of the cars were unlocked, and I believe all of the other burglaries did have some level of forced entry,” Staffordsmith says.

One business reportedly had tens of thousands of dollars in material stolen.

In at least one home burglary, a rear door was shattered.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and CSI are investigating.
