PHOTOS: Authorities investigating serious assault on woman in Lakewood

Authorities are investigating a serious assault which took place in Lakewood this afternoon.

“At this time I can only confirm that we are investigating an assault in which a woman was discovered near the intersection of 2nd Street and Lexington Avenue around 1pm today, with a serious injury….,” Police Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith said.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and CSI assisted by K9 are investigating.

“At this we are still trying to gather facts. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Oscar Valmon at 732-363-0200.”
