  1. I am happy that someone called the police on that person and they should get a TICKET and jail for that.
They have a din of a rodef and it is NOT MESIRAH!!!

    • you sound ridiculous and why would ticket be capitalized and not jail if jail is the more severe punishment which you think the driver should get. slow down junior take it down a notch.

  2. I actually received one also. Im assuming that the motorist that cut me off (witnessed on my dashcam) also got one in the mail. What doesnt make sense is that you dial #77 to report an aggressive driver and then that aggressive driver reports you for using a cell phone even though it was hands free. I guess that the only winner is the state when they end up fining you.

  3. how can they fine you?? there is no proof. even if there was proof (dashcam) that still would not be proof of the driver. this kind of violation is not against the auto as in the case of a parking ticket but rather its against the driver so there really is nothing to do.
The warning is simply telling the car owner that if he is caught then he will have the fines etc

  4. A couple of weeks ago a pick up truck crashed into a van with 13 elders returning from a 3 day retreat. All 13 people died. The driver from the pickup truck admitted to texting when the crash happened. He now carries the guilt of 13 deaths and faces prison time. This is not about if there is proof of the phone use or not. The risk and danger is real so take the warning for what it is and realize what can potentially happen when using a mobile device when driving.

    • very well said. your comment is simple and to the point.
Problem is people think that there call or text is more important then anything else. A few years ago we were able to manage when we left our house without a phone to talk on. Now if your not on your phone your the minority. Also I don’t understand why people think that holding the phone in front of your mouth on speaker is not going to get you a ticket.

  5. This is an issue about life and death. The reckless driving of people on their phones is incomprehensible. When a person gets in a car, it is call driving for a reason; Not texting, Not talking on the phone with the phone in their hands, Not browsing the posts in social media, Not eating! It is common sense, however, it seems that these days people are lacking it. For all the people that follow the law and just drive while in their vehicles a warning is not the solution, those people should be ticketed severely so that maybe they will learn the lesson. A warning today and a tragedy tomorrow because people don’t take driving seriously.
