The following PowerPoint presentation obtained by TLS further proves that Lakewood is a “unique” district, and requires additional State funding – not more loans.
TLS has also learned, that the State has allegedly been trying to get the Lakewood Municipality to provide additional funds. Should that occur, taxpayers could be negatively affected.
“Enough,” says education expert Michael Inzelbuch. “Tell the New Jersey Department of Education to own up to the problem and stop demanding more local monies. Lakewood is unique and requires additional funds – not from the local taxpayer, but the State. Sort of like Atlantic City, that due to the credit of their elected officials receives millions extra per year due to a perpetual carve out. ”
See the attached PowerPoint.
I wish Michael inz would run for Township
Nice PowerPoint.
Keep the articles and pressure going. There is no other way.
We are not going to let the town pay any more
Please continue to drive this message to the public. It should have been done a decade ago. Unfortunately we did not have the coordinated effort that seems to be underway now. Lakewood has to do this.
