2 arrested in connection with Lakewood burglary

Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary in Lakewood.

At approximately 3:45pm yesterday, Detective Chase Messer located a vehicle parked in the area of Ocean Park Village connected to a burglary investigation incident that was recently reported in the area.

Through his investigation, he was able to locate Thomas Fatula and Eric Wierzbowski in the same area. Detective Messer recognized both individuals from video footage that was recently obtained.

Further investigation led to the arrests of Thomas Fatula Jr, 41 and Eric Wierzbowski, 34, both of Toms River, who were ultimately charged with Burglary and Theft. Both men were lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending future detention hearings.

Proceeds of the burglary as well as other items believed to be stolen were recovered and seized as a result of this ongoing investigation.

  1. Thanks for arresting a couple of low lifes who steal tools and such that other people use to earn a living and feed their families with. Plus stealing property that others use to better their customers lives to boot.careless bold face lying slime..throw the book at them..good riddance .good police work…BUSTED COLD..
