Police, Township thank volunteers for outstanding work during Wednesday’s storm

Police and the Township Manager today thanked the dozens of volunteers who helped clean up Lakewood following yesterday’s storm.

Sergeant Menck said, “We had a bad storm that came through town tonight. It took down a lot of trees and wires. OEM was activated officers were held for the influx of calls. Volunteer’s from Chaveirim & LCSW were activated and assisted officers with numerous tasks(cutting trees and directing traffic). By the time of this email they were still working on cleaning up the town. The additional help was great and officers and volunteers worked great together.”

Township Manager Henshaw stated, “There is not a town that VOLUNTEERS like Lakewood. The Township of Lakewood is fortunate to have such caring Citizens.”
