Thousands of JCPL customers around Lakewood are without power this afternoon.
Outages are being reported in the industrial Park area, Route 88 area, Cedarbridge area Ridge Avenue, Westgate, Route 70 area and others.
The cause of the large outage is unknown at this time.
Many traffic lights around town are out as well.
UPDATE: JCP&L has given an estimated restoration time or 5:00PM.
UPDATE: Voting machines are not affected, as they have a battery backup.
Somebody must be using both microwaves at the same time.

@Hacked: After spending the whole day at a DHS/FEMA training in Egg Harbor it does not have to be Russians or an election you bring up just one scenario to be proactive about.
probably all the robo calls blew out a transformer.
