Multiple trees and wires are down around Lakewood as a result of the strong thunderstorm that swept through Lakewood this afternoon.

Heavy flooding is also being reported around town, and we’re getting reports of trees down on vehicles.

Avoid downed wires and immediately phone police and JCP&L at 888-544-4877.

Over 1,000 are without power in Lakewood, and approximately 10,000 in Ocean County. It could take hours for repairs to be made.
