  1. Bh there’s no frum Officers.
The main issue for a frum person is that the police department works with seniority. All officers Work 40 hours a week 10 hour shifts per day and gets the rest of the week off. Rookies for a good couple years get the worst shift which is usually over the weekend and obviously we are not able to work over the weekend so it won’t really work out. Just as any officer they’ll tell you the same thing

  2. Bloated? Lakewood is now a city of 100,000 with 135 Officers for 3 shifts excluding those on vacation, working within the precinct,in court, processing arrests or out sick, before the retirements over the coming months.

  3. I know of a frum NYPD officer. He asked a question and was told it is better to work in a non-Jewish area. There are too many potential issues that might come up when a frum police officer is dealing with frum people.

  4. Let’s not look at population for a second. I’m curious to know the ration of the number of officers as it relates to the amount of crime. I’m willing to bet if you look at it that way, the officer ration is quite high!

  5. looks like there is too much money hanging around there…

Do we really need to sponsor so many brand new suv’s? & salaries that are double the average Lakewood resident’s? I’m paying 1/3 of my income to property taxes. This is not what I’m looking to pay for.

Just to add – the scary perp is still on the loose!
