Authorities investigating after two cars set on fire in Lakewood

Authorities are investigating after two vehicles were set on fire in Lakewood early this morning.

Shortly after midnight, police received a call about a car fire on Miller Road, and a shorter time later received another call about a car fire on Iroquois Road (off Seminole).

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau, the Fire Marshals Office and CSI are investigating the incidents, and trying to determine if this is a bias crime and related to last week’s anti-Semitic incidents.

  1. This is fake news. I live on Attaya and Miller and there was no cars on fire. The police and fire dept arrived with reports of a car on fire but that was not the case.

  2. JS,
Did you not see the fire marshal and other officers out there for well over an hour? I suppose they have time to investigate fake news? …and then they repeated same over at the second location.
In both locations there were indications of a deliberately set fire. Evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing. Don’t be so quick to judge what you could not see. Instead, be thankful that what ever midchief was planned steps from your home did not result in any harm.
