EPIC: Lakewood Resident scores White House Tour after Twitter fun with new Communications Director!

A Lakewood resident scored an exclusive tour at the White House with the new Communications Director after having some fun on Twitter today.

Here’s how it went down.

Anthony Scaramucci was recently appointed as Communications Director by President Trump.

Dave, of Lakewood, is a huge fan of the President, and was excited about the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci – so he took to Twitter to tweet about it. He then realized that the Communications Director did not open a new twitter account yet using his name with ’45’ – which many at the Administration do when they open an official Twitter account.

“I did some research and saw that it is permitted to do such a thing although, I must write in the bio that it is not Mr. Scaramucci, but rather it is a ‘fan page’,” the resident told TLS exclusively.

A few days went by, and this afternoon, a newly-opened account with 0 followers messaged Dave’s ‘fan page’ account stating that they are from the White House and they are attempting to get this handle.

“I could not believe it,” Dave told TLS, “so I replied that they should message me from Mr Scaramucci’s verified Twitter account, to which surprisingly they did!”

He went ahead to say that he is a big fan and would gladly vacate the account to give it over to Mr. Scaramucci – but with a request: He wanted Scaramucci to give him a White House tour!. Lo and behold, his request was granted!

So Dave vacated the account and gave it over.

Dave tells TLS he has plans on going to the White House in the coming weeks for the tour promised by the White House Communications Director.

  1. Good stuff!!

    @steven mcnutt
    There is an industry of “speculators”. They specter who will be running for president in 10 years, and they buy the domain. Then they sell for thousands of dollars.

  2. A better way to transfer user names more securely with out risking somebody else getting it, Is simply change your password to one you don’t mind giving out and then send them your password.

  3. @better option, that’s not a better option. Bec then the original account holders email is on file, and they can always hit forgot password, and take the account back.
