Unfortunately, Rav Heshy Genauer z”l, was killed by an Israeli, not an arab.
Oish. What a Tzaddik. Even tho I left Yeshiva over 20 yrs ago, I had to go in to see him to ascertain if I had a bachelor’s or a master’s degree. He was so nice, aidel and patient with me, as if I was a frishe young bochur. What a special, special nice yid. A true Tzaddik with impeccable middos. Btw, one of his sons in law is HoRav Avrom Shaya Savitz, Rosh HaKollel of Cranbury Kollel for over 10 yrs and Ruv of the Yungerleit shul on 9th and Monmouth. May the family have a Nechama.
Although R’ Yaakio Gershon didn’t make a lot of noise, he was a master Talmid Chacham and an Illui.
He was a Very Clear Thinker, who was not impressed by the “prevailing thought” on any number of Issues.
He will be sorely missed.
Rav Yaakov Gershon will be sorely missed. He was a wonderful person, always there for anyone and everyone. B”H, I got to see him this past Tuesday night, at a wedding.
