PHOTO: Serious accident involving overturned vehicle shuts GSP local lanes

Serious injuries are being reported in an accident involving and overturned vehicle on the Garden State Parkway, officials say. 

The accident occurred in the local lanes at approximate mile marker 117.

As of 4:45 pm, traffic was backed up until approximately mile marker 138.

Dekays are expected into rush hour.
