This year, the Homeowner’s Association has set up a meeting to announce it won’t tolerate Jewish resident who – with attorneys – are standing up for their rights to erect the temporary religious structure.

  1. Wow guess it’s not just Jackson who has such haters. No one likes change but that doesn’t mean you should hate others just because they moved in next to you and they are different.

  2. What’s not endearing is if you compell your neighbor to move out for the holiday bec. They are denied the ability to build a succah. A bit of tolerance is called as succahs are built off the public right of way.

  3. Oy vey,my neighbor is building a sukka. Let’s scream “bloody murder”. A sukka in ones back yard is not much different than having a patio set. This letter and its writer are so pathetic. And yes, they should be sued for infringing upon religious freedom the same way countless HOA’s were succesfuly sued for banning mezuzos on front doors.

  4. It’s much more than the succa they electrified a gate that was unlocked for 12 years because the Jews (who live there) were using it on shabbos. Religious statues can be placed on lawns year round and xmas has huge blow up characters along with light shows but a small succa off the back patio not seen from the street irkles them. New rules prohibit anyone on the board for at least 2 years and new homeowners have pay $2,000 to the association. (New fee) They don’t like strollers, youngsters and children toys on the owners patio. Without a kippa boys can fish in the lake by themselves with a kippa they can’t get into the development unless the aged homeowners meet them and walk them in aside from being approved. 25% is already religious if they are nice everyone would get along like other mixed developments (Coventry), but the hate is so strong.

    • To #9 = Senior Board – Your “facts” are totally off-base (i.e. lies) and you are misinformed about what is going on in Enclave. Please stop creating a hostile environment which is only harmful to the frum residents – myself included – living happily in Enclave.

  5. The courts have already ruled on this, and if the homeowners did their homework as well as the HOA board they would know that the fines would not be upheld and that the Sukkahs come under religious freedom and may be put up with guid lines mad up up by the HOA. Check out HOA Law a or just google HOA’s vs Sukkahs
