A Lakewood father of six is currently undergoing a kidney transplant, thanks to an altruistic donor from Brooklyn.“Naftali, from Boro Park, was very determined to be a kidney donor,” says Renewal, the organization facilitating the transplant. “He has never met the recipient yet. When the recipient’s insurance presented an issue at one hospital, Naftali didn’t hesitate for a moment to retest in another hospital.” And with Siyata D’Shmaya, it worked.

And just in time.

The recipient, Dovid, is a father of six from Lakewood, who was about to start dialysis, had he not received the transplant today.
