Dozens more vehicle burglaries reported in Lakewood (PHOTO)

Over the past week, there have been dozens of vehicle burglaries around town, residents report to TLS.

Since last weekend, vehicles were burglarized in the area Ridge Avenue, School House Garden, Gefen Drive, Sterling Avenue, Vintage Circle, Dewey Avenue and others neighborhoods.

None of the burglaries reported to TLS were that of forced entry.

Though many burglaries were reported to TLS, only some were reported to police. Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith told TLS that between January 15-19, only five were reported to police.

If you notice your vehicle was burglarized, phone police at 732-363-0200. The more information provided to police, the better the chance of them apprehending the suspect(s).

Many leave their cars unlocked and windows not closed. Asking for trouble by not locking up your cars.
