Child saved by mulch, bushes after falling from second floor window in Lakewood

Mulch and bushes saved a child who fell out of a second story window this evening in Lakewood.

The child reportedly fell from the window shortly before 6 PM when the window screen gave way. The boy landed on the mulch and bushes below, breaking the fall.

Hatzolah treated the boy on scene before transporting him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with a head injury, officials say.

Police are investigating the incident.

  1. I put screws on the bottom window track to allow the window to open maximum only around 10 inches

Most windows have latches which allow them to be easily pulled out completely for cleaning or in case of fire so theres no issue like with bars.

As a side note always check windows that they are firmly locked into the track as the plastic ones can slip out due to warping.

    Besuros tovos

  2. I dont see why the police need to do their “investigation” while the ambulance is still there. The parents are busy taking care of their child & making arrangements for the others- they can find a better time to come.

Then they wonder why the general population hates them… They should be the first ones there to HELP when people are in need – thats what they are hired for.

(If they did that, people wouldn’t be so mad that they give tickets etc.)
