Two people were arrested after a pursuit from Howell into Lakewood this afternoon.
As first reported on our news alerts, police from Lakewood and Howell swarmed the County Line and 14th Street area at approximately 12: 45 PM after a suspect wanted by Howell police took off on foot in Lakewood.
Dozens of police officers from Lakewood and Howell searched backyards, and the campus of the College in search of the suspect.
At approximately 1:30 PM, the suspect was spotted by Detective Chase Messer getting into a getaway vehicle on 8th Street, Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith tells TLS.
A traffic stop was conducted in the area of Forest Avenue and 4th Street, where the suspect and female driver were taken into custody.
Police did not yet release information with regards to the suspect and what he was wanted for.
