An apparent drunk driver was arrested after allegedly causing a multi-vehicle accident on Route 88 this evening, Police Sergeant Michael Young confirms to TLS.
At approximately 9:25 PM, police and Hatzolah received calls about multiple vehicles struck by an erratic driver, swerving in and out of traffic.
Upon arrival, police found at least two vehicles struck on Route 88. The suspect fled.
Witnesses managed to keep on eye on the suspect, and pointed police to his whereabouts. He was apprehended a short time later on Cherry Street and taken into custody.

My friend’s son was hit by an illegal and was seriously injured. The illegal disappeared.
How do you guys know he is illegal? Why do you guys judge based on appearance. I’m pretty sure if someone judges you by the way you look, you would get offended and make a whole big fuss about it.

Oh…all hit and runs, regardless of where they occur, are “illegal” if that is what you meant by your statistics. It IS illegal to be involved in an accident and leave the scene.
