  1. A great move, enough ruining the nicest areas in Lakewood by having them become alternate routes to the endless traffic. I wish they would do it on Powderhorn and Flintlock too, as it’s become the newest through street from James to Sunset.

  2. @chacham everyone is suffering with this traffic.. The people on so called busy streets did not sign up for highway stand still traffic outside their door either!! WE MUST STOP BUILDING NOW!!

  3. Now how about making some sort of closure (or right turn only) so that drivers can’t cut in from Caranetta to Central by the rt 9 light and block straight traffic!

  4. If changes are warranted, more streets should be opened up to benefit the greater public. Not by closing up streets to benefit a few homeowners and cause more harm to the general population

  5. With this you created more back up traffic on Central Ave due to people not using Caranetta and more congestion on Caranetta due to the stop and go from stop signs.
Forcing people to stop more often, cannot reduce overall traffic.

  6. How about Caranetta and Central. There’s a sign on Central Eastbound on the corner that says DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION. That would be a ticket gold-mine. NOBODY pays attention to it. When I do, and I do, people honk in the most arrogant way then the light on 9 is absolutely red. Disgraceful behavior. Zero consideration. Zero courtesy. They’re just in a rush to get to the next inevitable red light without a thought of anyone else, or a care about their kid’s safety or setting a good example for them. Shame on them.
