Chesed of Lakewood announces first for the season registration for Summer CPR courses for teachers and camp staff.
These CPR courses train Lakewood teachers and counselors in CPR and First Aid techniques to ensure the safest possible environment for our children in the place that they spend the greater part of their day – the classroom/camp. In past summers, hundreds of educators have availed themselves of these courses and have come away with a 2 year CPR American Heart Association certification.
“Just as teachers take advantage of their summer break to revise their curriculums and undergo professional trainings, educators should make it a priority to equip themselves to be able to assist those in their care in case of emergency,” says a coordinator. “Children are entrusted in their care, and this includes a responsibility towards their physical wellbeing as well. We have worked tirelessly to arrange sponsorships for these courses in an effort to make these courses attainable for all and we are sure that teachers will take advantage of this opportunity.
