Lakewood Hatzolah adds new members to keep up with explosive growth

As Lakewood Hatzolah’s response area and call volume continue to increase due to the explosive growth, K”H, Hatzolah has announced they will be adding additional members to its roster.

Much time, effort and research goes into making the decision on whom to take on as members – picked from large pool of applicants.

Some of the new members – who join on a trial basis, have previous experience in EMS and other Hatzolah organizations.

The new members either reside or work in Lakewood, Toms River and Jackson. They are:

Shimmy Ehrman, Shalom Grama, Asher Klitnick, Shlomo Lampert, Yitzy Lerner, Yossi Pilchick, Yanky Stern, Berish Weiser, Ari Werner, Pinny Dembitzer and Avi Aboud.

The new members bring the number of EMTs and Paramedics on Lakewood Hatzolah to approximately 100.

  1. Wonderful news. Great job by Hatzolah bringing in so many new members at one time. Kudos to R’ Avrom Waxman working tirelessly to secure the funding to add new members. Remember: It costs Hatzolah over $5,000 in equipment for EACH new member. And @R’ Lazer – how can I say this nicely, Dont Bother. The line is over 300 ppl long. You wanna join Hatzolah ? move to or get a job in Deal. They’re desperate for members there. For real.

  2. Some people just nebbuch always just look to try drumming up politics and hock. So happens to be that 3 out of the eleven new members are experienced from other neighborhoods, and 2 are former service units from Lakewood that have been responding to calls as well for quite some time.

  3. @ Command Post – well said. R’ Waxman needs a major shout out for this. Ppl don’t realize the massive amount of fu doing Hatzolah needs to keep rolling. It’s a big budget. As in BiG !!
    Congrats to the new members.

  4. What’s the politics? Why so hard to join? It’s interesting that so many ppl want to be Hatzolah members.. just to get a mitzva?? That’s so beautiful!!
