Carpool mix-up prompts search for 7-year-old Lakewood boy

A search was launched in Lakewood today for a child after a carpool mix-up, police say.

“A 7-year-old boy who was supposed to (be) picked up by a family member for camp on Adams Street was reported missing,” Detective Captain Greg Staffordsmith tells TLS.

“The investigation revealed that he was picked up by another party and brought to another camp on Maplewood, with his siblings,” Staffordsmith said.

The boy was located approximately an hour later in good health.
