T-Mobile users in Lakewood say they see improvement in service after company service upgrade

T-Mobile users say they see an improvement in a portion of Lakewood as the company begins upgrades of its service in the area.

According to a T-Mobile representative, the company will have completed upgrades for the area of Kennedy Boulevard and toward Howell by mid-July.

“Ask anybody from the area and they’ll tell you that there’s a huge difference in speed and connection, today,” a user wrote to TLS on Friday.

Earlier this year, TLS reported about users complaining about Verizon Wireless service, and the company’s lack of infrastructure and service upgrades for the growing town.

But despite the complaints, a poll showed users who had more than one cell service provider still said Verizon Wireless had the best service in Lakewood.

  1. The people complaining about Verizon’s service are probably still using 3G phones. Which is good sign for Verizon in general is that means they’re heavily investing in 5G broadband.

  2. Had Verizon (unlimited) for a year in Prospect area, never had such bad service in my life. Switched to AT&T never had a problem

  3. I’ve had Verizon for the last 10 years never had a problem. In the last month or so I stopped having service in my Westgate apartment that I have been living in for 6 years and never had a problem before .

    Anyone else having the same issue?

  4. As others have mentioned it seems that most people that are having issues with Verizon are on their 3G network with older phones. Verizon does not see a value in operating their 3G network as most of their customers are moving over to 4G. From what I gather most people are on them so they don’t have internet. Unfortunately 3G is going extinct and a solution is needed. This is going to happen with all other carriers sooner or later.

  8. In had Tmobile for 3 year. But They canceled the sms to Cuba. So i switch to AT&T. The have the service for no extra cost. Its like send an sms to USA..

  9. Sprint LTE service has been abysmal in just the last few weeks in a good part of Lakewood north of the lake. Emails taking hours to come in at times. Never used to have issues. Has anyone tried calling Sprint?

  10. I am also having issues with Verizon. I live in Westgate, however I have issues with Verizon all the time.
    Verizon says our area is a very congested area and that is the cause. They did not share a solution.

  11. I think we have to launch a campaign to remove these TMobile upgrading equipment because of the extra radiation they bring to the vicinity

  12. T mobile in the area of new Hampshire is great but in the area of brook hill or somerset and st ridge or in county line and route 9 or route 9 and around 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14th st is terrible bad service
    t mobile stands for where they have service its usually the best but in many places they dont have any service
    they better place another 1 or 2 towers 1 on top of the water tower by ridge ave and shemen and the other tower next to yeshiva on the water tower and that should cover more of Lakewood but there seems to be a little improvement instead of no data at all in area of county line from rt 9 to squancum now there is some data
