  1. There seems to be an eagerness to help when none was requested I’ve gotten multiple messages about this help that is being offered, but is the target crowd at all interested or in need of it?
And is publicizing an otherwise barely known private tragedy a service to anyone, let alone the family most affected?

  2. Proof that there are those who see good and those who see bad. It’s the 9 days for G-d’s sake. Who can possibly criticize Pikuach Nefesh? Children are fragile beings and this can avoid, G-d forbid, potential life long issues. It’s a dangerous time to criticize your brothers and sisters, let alone when they are volunteering their professional services. You only bring gezeirah on all of us.

  3. @Interesting

If you’re not interested, don’t participate and don’t be so clever as to couch your Lashon Harah in a question. Shame on you. Go show some interest in the Hilchos of these 9 days.

  4. I just want to remind everyone that I am distributing two laminated tefillah cards, which are especially meaningful during the Nine Days. The first tefillah is the Chofetz Chaim’s ztl Tefillah al hadibbur, which asks that Hashem help us use proper speech throughout our day – that we avoid words of falsehood, flattery, strife, anger, arrogance, hurt, embarrassment, mockery, etc. The second tefillah was composed by Rabbi Noson ztl, a student of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov ztl, which asks that Hashem help us to judge other’s favorably throughout our day.

By saying these tefillos every morning, our minds are more focused on these important concepts – we can change our lives for the better and the lives of those around us. These efforts will increase Shalom among us and we are taught that Shalom is the vehicle for brachos to Klal Yisrael.

If you would like to receive a free copy of each laminated tefillah card, please email [email protected] with your full name and address.

May everyone’s efforts combined together bring refuos and yeshuos to all those in need, b’ezras Hashem.

  5. I don’t understand what the big secret is. Why can’t they write straight out what the “recent tragedy is”? Why so cryptic? It’s so annoying!
