Authorities are investigating a small plane crash at the Lakewood airport.

The plane was reportedly coming in for landing when it crashed into the trees.

The pilot was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The FAA is investigating.

  1. Looks like a 1970’s era Bellanca, I’m pretty sure. Very light plane. Used to see a lot of them flying banners around Coney Island, Brighton Beach. Hope the pilot will be fine.
