Lakewood Police Chief: Thousands attended Night Out Against Crime

Police Chief Greg Meyer says thousands attended the annual Night Against Crime event.

During the event, 155 pizza pies were distributed, as well as thousands of hot dogs and hamburgers.

750 helmets were given out, and some lucky winners even went home with a brand new bike.

The event, which also featured Lakewood’s many emergency organizations, concluded with a beautiful fireworks show.

  1. It was a fantastic night. Thank you to everyone who gave of their time and many giveaways. I don’t know who did the pizza but thank you and R. Epstein for all the delicious hot-dogs and hamburgers. BTW, Chief, “You need to spend more time in the sun”.

  2. I want to apologize to everyone who attended the Night Out Against Crime for not my not distributing the DHS Cyber Security For Kids cards and School Resource Materials. I did not receive them in time so here is a link to the Tip-Card, which you can print out.

In lieu of that, I decided to bring my rescued Okatz Pekingese, Bamba, who was a big hit. We both had a great time!

    Again , my apologies.
