   • 2 rainbows…. Imagine how sad Hashem is now. Maybe the least we can do is show Ahvas Yisroel… especially to the poor innocent kids not yet in school. And to those poor kids whose schools are on the verge of collapse.

Years ago, when a full rainbow appeared over an overwhelmingly Jewish city, both Rav Dovid Cohen (Brooklyn) and Rav Yaakov Forschheimer (Lakewood) advised that photos of the rainbow with the city captioned not be published (in accordance with M”B 229 from the Chaya Adom). In addition (my observation),these photos seem to show a full rainbow but not a double one which is one rainbow appearing simultaneously behind another rainbow – completely separate (see S’forno Noach 9:13).

16. Great question! Gemara Chagiga 16a explains that the rainbow contains Shechina as it is Hashem’s messenger. It is similar to a Navi, a Nasi and a Cohen, also Hashem’s messengers, who should be the epitome of perfection without a mum. Hence,a rainbow is gorgeous because it conveys Hashem’s message – albeit an ominious one. .
