Investigators are still trying to piece together information into yesterday’s violent home invasion in Lakewood, but some key information is still missing because of the couple’s condition, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Al Della Fave told TLS.

Della Fave says the investigators have not been able to obtain detailed information from the couple due to their injuries. As of today, they are listed in critical but stable condition, Della Fave says.

According to an official who wishes to remain anonymous, told TLS that both husband and wife were beaten so bad, that it was literally a “blood bath.”

“He was literally covered in blood,” another official said.
