Update on Kohanim issue near Toms River Jewish Community Cemetery

The Vaad Mishmeres Kohanim today released a statement to TLS with regards to the Kohanim issue near the cemetery.

After confirming there was an issue for Kohanim, TLS reached out to the cemetery and arranged for a meeting between the cemetery and Vaad Mishmeres Kohanim.

“Vaad Mishmeres Kohanim is pleased to report that the Toms River Jewish Community Cemetery has agreed to have the trees near the cemetery on Whitty Road trimmed to accommodate Kohanim. We thank Mr. David Sosis of the Toms River Jewish Community Cemetery for his help in this matter, and we appreciate his friendship.

We hope to have project completed in the next couple of weeks.

It is up to us to provide the $1200 that this will entail. We are turning to the public for help in covering the cost. To donate, please contact Ezriel Katz at (732) 600-3467.”
