BREAKING: Jewish store-owner says his store window was shot out with BB gun; Blames anti-Semitism (PHOTOS)

A Jewish store-owner in Howell says his store window was shot out with what is believed to be a BB gun.

The owner tells The Lakewood Scoop the alleged BB shattered a double pane window, which is now left being held together by a canvas. Police were called.

The store-owner says this incident is a result of the anti-Semitism in the area.

“This comes from the anti-Semitic hate of the democratic supporters in Howell,” he said, stating it’s because of the people who want the Jews out of Howell.

The incident is being investigated.

  1. What’s going on in these local elections is shocking and extremely disturbing. Certain Candidates running for public office are openly espousing anti-Semitic views. I remember a few months back when some flyers against minorities were distributed in Edison, the condemnations were swift in coming, both from the media and from elected officials from all parties. There hasn’t been a peep from NJ media outlets, aside from the scoop, about the overt hate being espoused by candidates in Jackson and other places. Orthodox Jews exist in the eyes of the media, to bash , shame, blame, blame for anti-semitism, condescend to, lecture to , and ignore. What’s going on in this part of the state should make every Jew and American shudder about what is tolerated down here in terms of hate speech.

  2. Referring to the tolerance and normalization of anti-Semitism in this area particularly against Orthodox Jews. The scoop wrote an article about this last week.

  3. Democratic supporters? Howell, Jackson, and Toms River are very conservative/republican. This isn’t bad, obviously, but we should recognize that a lot of anti-semitism comes from within our own party. There people are Christian extremists who don’t like the idea of people having different religious views.

  4. HOWELL DEMOCRATS
    STOP THE BUILDING
THEIR SIGNS SAY? THEIR IS NO BUILDING. IT MEANS STOP THE JEWS. I HAVE HEARD IT WITH MY OWN EARS.Bring it racists I fear you not. They more you hate the bigger we shall grow. NEVER AGAIN

    • You tell ’em Herb. EMES! IT MEANS STOP THE JEWS. 2 days after the horrific ANTI-SEMITIC mass shooting at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue. Unfortunately for them, they never learn that THEY CAN NEVER STOP THE JEWS, NEVER COULD, NEVER WILL. Guillotines, Gas Chambers, Missiles, Jets, oh, and BB’s. God’s decree forever.

  5. this is what append before the holocaust… slowly, slowly there where hate crimes, every one blamed something else, democratic not democratic- its all garbage. it’s only to remind us that we are Jews!! and remind us how to live like real Jews!! people’s heads are into money and how to build there next house to outgo there neighbor. the Tzniyot is far from what it should be, short skirts and tight clothing, i can go on and no one will listen. but when something C”V will happen – it will be to late!!! Heshem should help us!

  6. But why suddenly in the last 10 years did antisemitism suddenly rear its ugly head in the wider Lakewood area (and Monsey/Kiryas Yoel/Bloominburg areas as well).
Let us assume that all non-Jews hate all Jews. (I don’t agree, but lets say thats true.) Why is suddenly getting bad out there only in these areas of the country. And why only against ultra Orthodox Jews, but not against other types of Jews. And why do they “cloak” the antisemitism in “Stop the Building”. Why?

Something to think about. Maybe there’s a reason that we don’t want to face. Maybe it IS the “building” that is causing such high levels of anti semitism in our surrounding areas.

    • Maybe the extra antisemitism that we are experiencing is due to the fact that some people in the Jewish community are not driving properly. I am not sure if you are aware of it, but it happens to be that many drivers in Lakewood are not Jewish. They see very clearly how we drive and how we behave on the road.

  7. Everyone building a house need to stop and think…. if u have to ask your rav … that is in itself shows your not sure it’s correct we need to stand together and stop building big huge over the top houses gashmius doesn’t get you anywhere …. besides making other people jealous unfortunately we need to remind ourselves myself included our goal is to get to olam Haba we are only here on this word for a limited time

  8. What makes you think it was anti semitism? Why is that the first conclusion you jumped to?
By the way, there=a location, their=belonging to, they’re=they are.

  9. To Yid33 – I agree that some of it IS the building, but must of what you hear had nothing to do with building. And just check the facts, Pittsburgh was NOT even orthodox.
