  1. Thank God they didn’t kill anybody.

Famously, Hillel the Elder said, “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?”

At the end of the day, life itself is in one’s own hands:

A: Don’t expect anyone to make your life for you because they really can’t and most likely won’t. (Although they may try and be totally annoying and even destructive in the process).

B: If one’s focus is only on oneself to the exclusion of others, then what value does the person have (even to themselves let alone others) ?

In other words, to be completely selfish is to lose touch with the rest of the world, to lose touch with life itself. And at the very least, again, be totally annoying and at the worst, dangerously destructive to others as in this case.

  2. Ron we need more programs in our communities to help these people. Alot of times it is because they have other underlying issues, they need help with.
