  1. I am begging!!! Please follow other communities and change the name!!! We are living in times where we have so many children without fathers!! Imagine their pain… a grown yosom said after the Baltimore community changed Avos ubanim to kol haniarim “ now there are children will not know the deep pain of hearing the words Avos ubamin for a community program” think about it… motzai shabbos learning is a beautiful concept but why make it painful for some children pkease I’m begging you all think about the hurt feelings u can save a child by simply changing the programs name

  2. Ditto was thinking the same when I took my son there tonight. Who is taking the yesomim, same for divorced couples that the children are by the mother for shabbos? Even if someone is taking them the program name can be hurtful although unintentional.

  3. I completely agree with five, besides yosomim there are also boys from divorced couples most of the time their fathers might also not be available to go with their sons. Why should those boys feel left out? Goot woch to everyone .

  4. So beautiful to see such achdus! So sad that in the area out of Lakewood that I live in with about 20 families there are 2 Shuls & they can’t even do their avos ubanim together….let alone someone with a striemel…….

  5. It says in the article “was attended by all shuls in Toms River”. However, my neighborhood in Toms River had the regular avos ubanim program in our shul, as we didn’t know about this. Mustve been an oversight, but it could’ve been so nice for our boys to have gone there as well.

  6. Dear all the shuls, if your rov or shul rep would be involved in tbe kehila they would know about it, there bh over 20 shuls in Toms River and everyone was there

  7. Not so simple. Some places don’t allow people to be involved in the “Kehilla” and push their single focused agenda on their neighbors without caring what others feel and disallow Freedom of Choice.

Many only found out last minute about the event to be held at YTT in Lakewood, only after the shuls had already announced that Avos UBanim would take place at their regular gathering location.

Could be the “Askanim” of Toms River forgot to include and invite ALL shuls to the YTT event. Could be that “All The Shuls” place is not known or not recognized by the Toms River “Kehilla” ???
