Many Lakewood and other residents are receiving checks from HBCBS, and inquiring from TLS if it’s some sort of scam – but it’s not!
In fact, that $1,200 is real.
The company explained that “Horizon BCBSNJ is using its tax refund for our members.”
Don’t throw out that check – it’s real!

To be fair, part of the ACA by Obama, is that Insurance companies can only take home a certain amount of profit. So chances are BCBS made way too much money (thanks to the tax cuts) so they would have been required to return it to the consumers regardless…

for all those who did or did not got a check in they mail- are you part of a company plan or a private plan? I get my health insurance through work (I still pay a nice premium) and did not get a check. wondering if I will receive one.
