Lakewood man hospitalized after allegedly mixing chemicals for roaches

A Lakewood man was hospitalized after reportedly mixing chemicals to be used for roaches, sources told TLS.

At approximately 1:00 AM, police and Lakewood EMS were summoned to a home for the reports of a person who passed out after mixing chemicals.

“(The) call came in as using chemicals for roaches,” police said.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the unconscious patient and administered Narcan – the antidote generally used for heroin overdoses.

Police say the patient was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus. His age or condition were not available.

  1. Pretty potent stuff. Most these chemicals are dangerous alone, but mixed? he could have blown the house up! It would have taken care of the cockroaches very effectively.
