A Lakewood resident this week went to pick up his mail to find a note written to him by Reb Kolman Krohn Z”L.
The resident tells TLS the envelope was dated October 25, less than eight weeks before Reb Kolman Z”L was Niftar.
“I went this week to my old address which I haven’t gone to for some months to pick up mail, and one of the pieces I found dated for the end of October was a letter from Reb Kalman Krohn,” the resident says.”
“Thanks for your Hishtatfus (participation) in our Tzedakas,” the letter read. “Kol Tuv.”
The recipient of the letter says he spoke with the family, and they were surprised he took the time and effort to write and mail this letter due to his state of health.
“I spoke to a family member and they can’t believe he did this since he was really not well in Leisure Chateau,” he said.
Reb Kolman Z”L raised millions of dollars in Tzedakas for needy families, and was a pillar of Chesed in Lakewood.
